How to sell a dream… even before the first order?
✨ How to sell a dream… even before the first order?
The challenge of mini-soaps for responsible hospitality
“We just delivered the soaps from the Grand Budapest Hotel!”
Well, not quite. This palace is fictional.
But the question he raises is very real:
How do you attract a customer when you haven't delivered anything yet?
Launching a new product: an (almost) blind bet
When we imagined our range of unpackaged mini solid soaps , designed for committed hotels, spas, guest houses and concierge services, the enthusiasm was there.
The first returns too.
But very quickly, one question kept coming up:
“Great idea… but what will it look like?”
It’s difficult to project a customer onto a product that is still in production.
Especially in a sector as demanding as high-end hospitality, where every detail counts: the design, the scent, the texture, the bathroom decor...
What if imagination became a real commercial lever?
Lacking real photos at the start, we chose another route.
A bolder, lighter path too: that of dreams .
We imagined our soaps in fictitious but mythical hotels:
-
🏨 Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel
-
🌫️ The Arletty North Hotel
-
🎶 Hotel California des Eagles
-
🔪 The Overlook Hotel from Shining
Thanks to our dear Lucia Bellot, we brought these ideas to life through dreamlike, evocative, almost cinematic visuals.
Result: a strong projection… and sales
These visuals allowed our customers to project themselves beyond the product .
They saw, in the blink of an eye, the universe in which our soaps could fit .
It created emotion, memory, discussion.
And it worked. 🎯
When the dream becomes reality
Today, our mini-soaps are traveling for good, to real establishments.
But the lesson remains valid for any innovative project:
🧠 Don't wait for proof to sell .
Tell a story.
Create a world around your product.
Make room for emotion, imagination, projection.
Bonus: our zero waste solution
Please note: to make this offer viable in a craft way, we have removed the packaging.
The soaps are delivered bare , accompanied by a personalized card (legal notice on the back), in the colors of the partner hotel.
Result :
-
✅ Zero waste ,
-
✅ Maximum visibility of the soap ,
-
✅ Lasting memory for customers.
💬 And you, where would you see our little Ciment soaps?
In which real or fictional location would you like to see our soaps?
